Nir fields

Nir Felder (born December 30, 1982 ) is an American jazz guitarist .

Live and act

Felder grew up in Katonah, NY and studied at Berklee College of Music ; he won the 2005 Jimi Hendrix Award from the Berklee Guitar Department.

In mid-2005 he moved to New York City. Since then he has worked a. a. with Greg Osby ( Nine Levels , 2008), Meshell Ndegeocello , Chuck Mangione , Jack DeJohnette , John Scofield , Cindy Blackman , Terri Lyne Carrington ( Money Jungle: Provocative In Blue 2008), Mark Turner , Jason Moran , Dave Douglas , Brian Landrus , Ken Thomson , Roberto Gatto , Stanley Clarke , George Duke and Keyon Harrold . In addition to collaborations with the Philip Seymour Hoffman's LABrynth Theater Company , Matisyahu , the hip-hop duo Black Sheep , he leads his own formations such as Nir Felder 4 and Big Heat . In the field of jazz, he was involved in 37 recording sessions between 2005 and 2019.
