history

Vejprty zastávka stop in Nové Zvolání (2018)

When in 1550 a lot of silver-bearing debris was found south of the newly discovered Weipert ore deposits under a fallen spruce , a new mountain screech started . The Pressnitz captain Matthäus Scharfenberger had a search tunnel driven , which soon found what it was looking for.

Neugeschrei was founded as a mining settlement at the newly opened mine Johannes in der Wüsten and expanded quickly. Emperor Rudolf II guaranteed freedom of religion to the place belonging to the Hassenstein - Preßnitz rule in 1609 . Neugeschrei became the focus of a small mountain area, which included the pits Alte Wüstenzeche , Römischer Adler , Hasenstolln , Lorenzistolln , Altwüstner Stolln , Hope to God , Drei Lilien and the Maria- and Joseph-Zeche . In 1709 nine mines were in operation. In the neighboring Saxon town of precipitation , rich ore discoveries had also been made, so that a lively mining operation took place on both sides of the Pöhlbach, which sometimes led to disputes over water use or the rights to cross-border ore veins. A part of Neugeschrei, which was called Neugeschreier Houses , was originally in the hallway of Pleil . In contrast to Pleil, he belonged to the parish of Weipert.

After the deposits were exhausted, the trimmers' trade was established in Neugeschrei . After the revolutionary years of 1848/49 in the Austrian Empire , patrimonial jurisdiction was repealed. It was replaced by the judicial district of Preßnitz , from which the judicial district of Weipert was split off in 1901/02 . This was assigned to the newly founded Preßnitz district , which also included Neugeschrei, which was incorporated into Weipert after 1900. Since 1872 the route of the Buschtěhrad Railway from Komotau to Weipert led through new screams, but the place received no stop. Their establishment was only achieved later by the trimmings manufacturer Kanneberger. In 1886 the brothers Josef and Theodor Kanneberger bought the Steck & Wolf trimmings factory and ran it under the name of the Kanneberger brothers to become the largest trimmings factory in Austria-Hungary .

At the beginning of the 20th century the poacher Hubert Hippmann (1881–1931) was resident in Neugeschrei. After the end of the First World War , the Danube Monarchy disintegrated and from 1919, as a district of Weipert, Neugeschrei belonged to the newly formed Czechoslovakia . In October 1938, according to the Munich Agreement , German troops marched over the border bridge in Weipert and the city area became, like the entire Sudetenland , part of the German Reich . On October 10, 1938, it was incorporated into the Preßnitz district in the Reichsgau Sudetenland . As a result, in October 1938, the state border to Bärenstein and precipitation fell. The division of the Preßnitz district planned in 1939 and the incorporation of the Weipert judicial district into the Sankt Joachimsthal district were not carried out until 1945.

After the end of the Second World War , Czechoslovakia was reestablished in 1945 within the limits from the time before the Munich Agreement, to which the town of Weipert, now known as Vejprty, with its district of Neugeschrei, now known as Nové Zvolání, belonged again. The city was now administered by the Okres Chomutov . Between 1945 and 1946 the predominantly German-Bohemian population was expelled . Their property was confiscated by the Beneš decree 108 , the property of the Protestant church was liquidated by the Beneš decree 131 and the Catholic city churches were expropriated during the communist era . The Czech Republic made no compensation for the confiscated assets.

Attractions

The Church of the Heart of Jesus of Nové Zvolání was built and expanded in the 19th century with the support of the trimmings manufacturers Steck, Wolf and Kanneberger. The building, which fell into disrepair after the Second World War, was renovated from 1991 to 1997 with donations from former residents and German and Austrian dioceses.
