Topless was an Austrian family series of the ORF , which ran on ORF 2 since 2007 and whose fourth and final season was filmed in 2011. The Austrian filmmaker Reinhard Schwabenitzky produces it with his wife Elfi Eschke in the lead role.

content

The focus of the series is on the two rather different families Horrowitz and Schnabel, who know how to prevent attempts to evict them from the house. Sarah ( Elfi Eschke ) and Gustl Horrowitz ( Andreas Steppan ) divorce at the beginning of the series, but continue to live together for educational and economic reasons. The Horrowitzens, who live on the first floor, also live with their son James ( Philip Leenders ) and grandpa Willi ( Heinz Reincke ), who is in a wheelchair . But this grandpa thinks more of his daughter-in-law than his own son.

The tenants on the ground floor of the dilapidated house, the Schnabels, are known as "Grün-Schnabel": The mother Anna ( Maria Köstlinger ) is a single parent and runs a health food store on the first floor of the house, in which her pubescent daughter Judith ( Nora Heschl ) helps.

No tenants, but is almost belonging to the house of fun and very enterprising Turk Seyfi Ülbül ( Haydar Zorlu ), who lives outside the house in a car and Anna Schnabel occasionally helps, for example, with its own bio Kebab - kiosk that Annas Offer in your shop expanded. He fell in love with Sarah.

Because the homeowner (who never appears officially) tries to get rid of the last tenants, he unleashed Otto Schratt ( Ernst Konarek ), a devoted, malicious caretaker, on the tenants. However, it is not exactly easy for him with the insurgent tenants.

Production and broadcast

The first season with six episodes was filmed in Salzburg in 2006 and broadcast in the summer of 2007, Mondays at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 2. In the same year, the second season was created with another six episodes.

In 2008, the third season was shot with six episodes. The broadcast date was in August and September 2010, as the 2009 series Geld.Macht.Liebe ran on the regular broadcasting station.

In 2009, the ORF broadcast a 90-minute Christmas special, and in December 2010 another special, The Turkish Bride, was broadcast.

The shooting of the fourth season lasted from February 22nd to April 1st, 2011. This final season consists of only four episodes.
