Oberdorf is a district of the town of Bleicherode in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia .

geography

Oberdorf and the other two districts of Mitteldorf and Pustleben in the former municipality of Wipperdorf with a total of 1400 inhabitants are located in a large basin on the Wipper between the Hainleite and the foothills of the southern Harz . At the southern boundary of the settlement, the Bölinger Graben flows into the Mühlgraben, which joins the Wipper just a few hundred meters away. The state road 1034 leads through the three districts to Kehmstedt . Oberdorf is connected to the Nordhausen - Kassel railway at the Wipperdorf stop in the Pustleben district. The federal highway 38 runs southeast of the district .

history

Oberdorf was first mentioned in a document on April 1, 1262 in the record book of Eichsfeld 432. Oberdorf certainly experienced the same influences as Pustleben and Mitteldorf, but they were not recorded. The baroque hall church was built in 1726 instead of a previous building. On January 1, 2019, Oberdorf was incorporated into the city of Bleicherode with the municipality of Wipperdorf.
