Ole-Kristian Tollefsen (born March 29, 1984 in Oslo ) is a former Norwegian ice hockey player who was active in the National Hockey League with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Philadelphia Flyers and completed a total of 163 NHL games. In Sweden he played for Färjestad BK and MODO Hockey in the Svenska Hockeyligan .
Career
Ole-Kristian Tollefsen began his career as an ice hockey player with Lillehammer IK , for whom he was active from 2000 to 2002 in the GET-ligaen , the highest Norwegian league. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2002 in the third round as the 65th player of the Columbus Blue Jackets . The defender first played for the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Canadian Junior Western Hockey League for two years before he was on the ice during the lockout in the 2004/05 season for Columbus' farm team , Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League . He also played two games for the Dayton Bombers in the ECHL this season . After he had spent the 2005/06 season almost exclusively at the Syracuse Crunch in the AHL, the Norwegian ran regularly for Columbus in the National Hockey League from the 2006/07 season .
For the 2009/10 season Tollefsen signed a contract with the Philadelphia Flyers , for which he prepared two goals in 18 games. In February 2010, he was given to the Detroit Red Wings , but they used him exclusively in their AHL farm team Grand Rapids Griffins . In May of the same year he was hired by MODO Hockey from the Swedish Elitserien , where he immediately became assistant captain. With his team he achieved relegation in the Kvalserien .
From the 2012/13 season Tollefsen was under contract with Färjestad BK before ending his career in January 2018 due to the effects of a training accident.
International
For Norway , Tollefsen took part in the junior division at the U18 World Junior Championships in 2001 and 2002 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2002 , 2003 and 2004 . Furthermore, he was in his country's squad at the B World Championships in 2004 and 2005 and at the A World Championships in 2010 and 2011 . He also represented Norway at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver .
