Ole Eskild Dahlstrøm (born March 4, 1970 in Oslo ) is a former Norwegian ice hockey player ( center ) who played in the German ice hockey league for Adler Mannheim from 1987 to 2007 .

Career

Ole Eskild Dahlstrøm began his career as an ice hockey player in the 1986/87 season at Furuset IF , for whose professional team he was on the ice until 1992 in the Elite Series and with whom he was Norwegian champion for the first time in 1990 . Only the 1988/89 season he spent at Örebro IK in Division 1, the second Swedish division. At the NHL Entry Draft in 1990 Dahlstrøm was selected ( drafted ) as 218th in the eleventh round by the Minnesota North Stars , but he never went to North America and initially stayed in Norway. After the 1991/92 season, the left shooter moved to the Storhamar Dragons , with whom he won the Norwegian championship three times in a row in 1995, 1996 and 1997. In the 1995/96 season he was also Norwegian Player of the Year.

For the 1997/98 season , the Norwegian signed a contract with Adler Mannheim from the German Ice Hockey League , with which he was German champion straight away and for which he also played a few games in the European Hockey League . After a year in Germany, Dahlstrøm returned to the Storhamar Dragons in his homeland, with whom he again won the Norwegian championship in 2000 and 2004. From 2005 to 2007 the two-time Olympian ran for the Lillehammer IK before ending his career at the age of 37.

International

For the Norwegian national ice hockey team , Dahlstrøm took part in the junior division of the U18 European Junior Championship in 1987 and the U20 World Junior Championship in 1990 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the B World Championships in 1989 , 2002 , 2003 , 2004 and 2005 as well as at the A World Championships in 1990 , 1992 , 1993 , 1994 , 1997 , 1999 , 2000 . He also ran for Norway at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville and 1994 in Lillehammer .
