Oliver Rosskopf

Oliver Fritz Rosskopf (* 1981 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Oliver Fritz Rosskopf, born in Vienna, grew up in Prottes in the Gänserndorf district in Lower Austria . He first attended the elementary school Prottes and the grammar school Gänserndorf. At the age of 15, Rosskopf, who had already played football as a child, was offered the opportunity to attend the football academy in Hollabrunn ; However, he decided on the Educational Institute for Kindergarten Pedagogy (BBKIP) in Mistelbach , where he trained as a kindergarten teacher. At the age of 18 he played the title role in Jedermann at the Weikendorfer Sommerspiele, an amateur theater company . This made him want to become an actor.

From 2000 to 2004 he studied acting at the Art University Graz (formerly: University of Music and Performing Arts Graz). During his training he played at the Theater im Palais Graz, the Orpheum Graz , the Summer Festival Rosenburg (2003; as Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream with Manuel Rubey as Lysander) and already at the Schauspielhaus Graz . In 2003 he appeared at the Theater Center Forum in Vienna, alongside Bruno Thost in the role of old Weiring, as the bon vivant Fritz in Arthur Schnitzler's play Liebelei .

From 2004 to 2006, following his training, he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Graz. There he played the painter Conti in Emilia Galotti (season 2004/05), the roles of Pablo / doctor / young cashier in Endstation Sehnsucht (premiere: season 2004/05) and Sebastian in Was ihr wollt (premiere: season 2005/06) .

In 2006 he worked at the Künstlerhaus-Theater Wien and at the Theater am Saumarkt Wien, where he performed a Brecht solo evening. From 2007 to 2012 he was then a permanent member of the ensemble at the Lower Austria State Theater in St. Pölten . Here he appeared as Prince Philipp in Yvonne, the Burgundy Princess of Witold Gombrowicz (premiere: 2007/09 season), as Schulz / Bojarski in To be or not (premiere: 2008/09 season), as Junker Andreas Bleichenwang in Was ihr wollt ( Premiere: season 2008/09) and as Leonce in Leonce und Lena (premiere: season 2009/10).

In the 2012/13 season he was a guest at the Bregenz State Theater in Bunbary . He played the young Gwendolen Fairfaix in a travesty role; his partner was Maximilian Laprell as the bon vivant Algernon. He had other theater engagements at the Waldviertler Hoftheater (2014) and at the newly founded Theater Globe Vienna , where he has been a permanent member of the ensemble since October 2014 and in The Unbelievable Tragedy of Richard III. by Michael Niavarani (2014–2015; appeared as King Henry VI, Mayor of London) and Romeo and Juliet (premiere: March 2016).

Rosskopf has also played a number of film and television roles since 2005. In the feature film Die toten Körper der Lebenden (2007) by director Peter Kern , based on motifs from Jean Genet's Un chant d'amour , he played Java, the lover of the sex criminal Lucien. In Blutsfreundschaft (2009) he played again under the direction of Peter Kern, this time in a supporting role.

In the socially critical comedy Die Werkstürmer (2013) set in Styria , starring Michael Ostrowski and Hilde Dalik , Rosskopf played the role of Ulf Horvath, a "snobbish" trade unionist from Vienna. In the Austrian movie The Last Summer of the Rich (2015) Rosskopf played again under the direction of Peter Kern; this time he was the bank manager Fortill. In the relationship thriller and stalking drama Ma Folie (2015) by Andrina Mračnikar , he played Goran, the ex-boyfriend of the main female character, the psychotherapist Hanna ( Alice Dwyer ).

In the ZDF crime series Die Rosenheim-Cops , Rosskopf has been seen twice in an episode role: in 2007 as local owner Michael Schwarzer and in 2014 as dressage rider Hajo-Friedrich Wellenhorst. In April 2016, Rosskopf appeared in the ZDF television series Lena Lorenz in the film A Fall of Love as a mountaineer and young father Markus Kammermeier, who crashes on a climbing tour and is temporarily in a coma; he played the carpenter's best friend Quirin ( Jens Atzorn ). This role took on in the next film in the series, Lena Lorenz: Life's Dream (first broadcast: March 2017).

Rosskopf is married and has three children. He lives in Vienna.
