The competition trap women in the 2012 Olympic Games in London was in the 4 August 2012 Royal Artillery Barracks played. 22 participants competed.

The competition took place in two rounds, a qualifying round and a final round. In the qualifying round, each shooter had to shoot three series of 25 targets. Ten targets were thrown from the left, ten from the right and five straight ahead, each shooter being able to shoot the targets up to two times. Each hit resulted in a point. The six best athletes qualified for the final. In the final another series of 25 targets was thrown, but each shooter was only allowed to fire one shot per target. Here, too, each hit resulted in a point.

The shooters qualified for the final are highlighted in light green.
