The competition air pistol 10 meters of the women at the 2012 Olympics in London was in the July 29, 2012 Royal Artillery Barracks played. 49 shooters took part.
The competition took place in two rounds, a qualifying round and a final round. In the qualifying round each shooter had to fire 40 shots. For each shot there was one to 10 points. The best eight participants qualified for the final. Here the shooters fired 10 shots each, with the rating being divided into steps of 0.1 points. The highest possible rating per shot was 10.9. The winner was determined by adding up the scores from qualification and final.
The shooters qualified for the final are highlighted in light green.

With the Chinese Guo Wenjun , an athlete was able to repeat her Olympic victory in this discipline for the first time. She is only the second woman in the Olympic shooting competition to have succeeded. Before her, only the Bulgarian Marija Grosdewa was successful, who was able to defend her victory with the Sydney sports pistol in Athens.
Celine Goberville won the first medal for France in this discipline.
