The men's skeleton competition at the 2006 Winter Olympics was held in two runs on February 17, 2006.

The Olympic champion was the Canadian Duff Gibson , who at 39 years of age is the oldest winner of an individual sport at the Winter Olympics. He dedicated his gold medal to his late father Andy, who lost the battle against cancer in 2005 after eleven years. Gibson's compatriot Jeff Pain won the silver medal and Gregor Stähli from Switzerland won the bronze medal.
