This article covers the Ghanaian Olympic selection during the 1972 Summer Olympics .

Olympic qualification

After two victories against Liberia in the first round, Ghana moved into the decisive second round. There they closed the group tied with Cameroon, but qualified because of the better goal difference for the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich .
