This article covers the Moroccan Olympic football selection during the 1972 Summer Olympic Games .

Olympic qualification

After two victories against Niger in the first round, Morocco moved into the decisive second round. There they qualified for the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich after two draws against Tunisia and two wins against Mali .

In the preliminary round, after a draw against the USA and a defeat against hosts BR Germany in the last game against Malaysia, it was for second place in the group, which Morocco secured with a win. As second they qualified for the intermediate round, in which they lost all three games and were eliminated from the tournament as bottom of the table.
