This article covers the Sudanese Olympic selection during the 1972 Summer Olympics .

Olympic qualification

After a win and a draw against Uganda in the first round, Sudan moved into the decisive second round. There they prevailed against Ethiopia and Madagascar and qualified for the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich .
