The Omnibus Dannemann line and travel GmbH , based in Weinstadt -Beutelsbach is as a private bus companies in line , casual and travel business. Together with OVK Omnibusverkehr Kirchheim GmbH based in Kirchheim unter Teck , which is also owned by the Dannenmann family, bus routes in the Rems-Murr district and in the Esslingen district are operated within the VVS .
history
In 1934 Max Dannenmann set up a bus route from Strümpfelbach via Endersbach to Waiblingen. In doing so, he laid the foundation stone for the company. A converted Chevrolet delivery van with 17 seats was used as the bus. 1950 saw the opening of the line from Kleinheppach via Großheppach to Endersbach.
The son Eberhard Dannenmann took over the business in 1962, which at that time had eight buses. With the acquisition of the Vollmer bus company in Bittenfeld, the line from Bittenfeld to Waiblingen was added in 1972.
Dannenmann has been cooperating with Knisel from Stuttgart-Mühlhausen on the travel program since 2001.
On January 1, 2002 Omnibusverkehr Kirchheim (OVK), founded in 1928 by the König family, was taken over by Dannenmann and continued as a separate company. On July 1, 2012, the company Luz Omnibusverkehr, based in Walddorfhäslach, was bought by the OVK.
In the course of the Europe-wide tender for bus services, the OVK was awarded the contract for the line bundle No. 6 (Wendlingen) in the Esslingen district, which started operations on July 1, 2017. Dannenmann was able to manage the three line bundles No. 6 (Welzheimer Wald) in the Rems-Murr district. from August 1, 2017, No. 4 / Lot 1 (Remshalden) from January 1, 2018 and No. 8 (Winnenden / Berglen) from August 1, 2019. In addition, Dannenmann has been driving on behalf of the Römer company in the Winnenden area and on behalf of FMO in the Backnang area since January 1, 2019 .
In return, Dannenmann lost its main lines 201, 202 and 204 in Waiblingen and Weinstadt to Fischle & Schlienz at the end of 2018, and at the same time the OVK had to hand over the Kirchheim city traffic to the Bader-Reisen / Schlienz-Tours bidding group . In addition, Dannenmann operated on behalf of SSB on line 60 (Untertürkheim-Oeffingen) until December 8, 2018 , and OVK, as the legal successor of the decades-long SSB subcontractor, Luz served its main line 75 (Walddorfhäslach-Aich-Bernhausen) until December 31, 2018 ). At the end of 2019, line 209 (Waiblingen – Korb – Endersbach) , which had previously been operated jointly with the OVR , was completely transferred to the OVR as part of the line bundle No. 3 in the Rems-Murr district.
