The Fischle Group is a private bus company based in Esslingen am Neckar . It consists of three operating companies that provide regular services: Esslinger Omnibusverkehr Ernst Fischle GmbH & Co. operates as a subcontractor on three SSB lines , Fischle Regionalverkehr Stuttgart GmbH & Co. KG operates 25 of its own lines in the eastern Stuttgart region and FS Omnibus GmbH & Co. KG operates in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district in Hesse.
history
The company was founded in 1932 as Fischle & Schlienz by bus drivers Christian Schlienz and Ernst Fischle, who had become unemployed due to the global economic crisis . With the help of a total of four trucks and military buses, they resumed driving on the bus routes of their former employer.
After Schlienz's death in 1953, Fischle left the company and founded his own bus company. The vehicle fleet was expanded in the following years and in 1968 the travel business with its own tour operator, coaches and travel agencies was added. In 1974, Fischle and Schlienz took over the Dannenmann bus company in Aichwald-Schanbach (not to be confused with Dannenmann bus from Weinstadt-Beutelsbach). Line 113 went to Schlienz, while Fischle took over line 114. The vehicles were each divided. When Fischle opened the new depot in Esslingen-Sirnau in 1978, the fleet consisted of more than 40 buses and coaches. In 2000 Fischle parted from the travel business and has since concentrated exclusively on regular services. Today the company is run in the third generation by the siblings Frank Fischle and Bettina Fischle-Schlienz, Ralf Steinmetz is the managing director of Fischle Regionalverkehr Stuttgart.
Liberalization of bus transport
As a result of the liberalization of bus transport in Baden-Württemberg, the Fischle company has also been participating in national competition proceedings since 2016. In 2017, Fischle was awarded a tender for a route in Hesse and has been operating six bus routes with around 20 buses in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district via the subsidiary FS Omnibus since December 2017. Subcontractors are also used here.
As a result of the line tenders in the Esslingen district, Fischle lost the order traffic for END on bus routes 122 and 131 at the end of 2015. In the course of 2018, the existing lines in Esslingen (108, 109, 114, 138) that had been served for many decades had to be given up The order traffic for SSB on line 35 also ended. Since December 2018, Fischle has been providing subcontracting services for SSB in Stuttgart and Fellbach with over 20 buses on lines 54, 58 and 60.
In July 2018, Fischle founded Fischle & Schlienz Omnibusverkehr GmbH & Co.KG together with Schlienz Omnibus GmbH & Co.KG from Esslingen-Wäldenbronn , after both of them won the bid for the two newly advertised line bundles No. 5 in the Esslingen district and No. 2 in the Rems-Murr district . On January 1, 2019, Fischle & Schlienz began operating independently on eight bus routes in Plochingen and the surrounding area, as well as six routes in Waiblingen and Weinstadt .
Schlienz Omnibus ceased operations on November 30, 2019. The Fischle company took over the 10 line buses as well as the share in the Schlienz Omnibus joint venture and is now the sole shareholder of Fischle & Schlienz. After the external appearance was changed to the name Fischle, the name was changed to Fischle Regionalverkehr Stuttgart GmbH & Co. KG on July 1, 2020 .
Since January 1, 2020 there has been an extended timetable in Waiblingen and Weinstadt. The previous line 213 was integrated into line 204, which was extended to Hegnach .
On September 1, 2020, Fischle Regionalverkehr Stuttgart will take over scheduled services in the Schorndorf area from the insolvent company Knauss.
