Palandöken is a city district of Erzurum and at the same time a district of the Erzurum province in eastern Turkey . The total population of the district was 162,162 in 2012, of which 160,162 lived within the city and 2,000 in the three villages (Köy ). The district was founded in March 2008 and, along with Aziziye and Yakutiye, is one of the three districts that comprise the urban area of ​​Erzurum. After an administrative reform in 2013/2014, all villages were dissolved and converted into Mahalles. Palandöken takes its name from the mountain Palandöken Dağı , which lies south of the city.
