Yakutiye is the most populous district of Erzurum and at the same time a district of the Erzurum Province in eastern Turkey . The district was founded in March 2008 and, along with Aziziye and Palandöken, is one of the three districts that comprise the urban area of ​​Erzurum. The total population in 2012 was 184,674, of which 183,168 lived within the city and 1,506 in the ten villages (Köy ). After an administrative reform in 2013/2014, all villages were dissolved and converted into Mahalles.

According to the city logo, Yakutiye received the status of a municipality in 1994 .
