Palfner Dörfl is a place in the Salzach- Pongau in the state of Salzburg and belongs to the municipality of St. Johann im Pongau in the district of St. Johann (Pongau) .

geography

The Palfner Dörfl is located one kilometer northwest of Sankt Johann on the left bank of the Salzach . It lies at the foot of the Palfner Kogel (Schwarzkogel ,  1413  m above sea level ) at around 600  m above sea level. A. Höhe, north of the junction of Wagrainer Straße  (B163) from Pinzgauer Straße  (B311) and west of the sports field and the speedway train.

Most of the place belongs to the locality and cadastral community of Einöden , but south of the street to Reinbach (address Katzlmoosweg ). The place has 7 addresses. In part, the settlement Palfenweg / Palfnergasse / Buchsteinersiedlung to the south is also counted as a place (approx. 45 addresses), which has already grown into Reinbach via the industrial area at the B163 junction.

The Palfner Bach runs through the village to the Salzach.

history

In the 19th century the place only comprised two farms, the Höll (desert) and the Pichlmayer (Reinbach). Höll is also the name of the corridor to the south and on the Palfnerbach above, Hell is called a rugged terrain, and Palfen 'rock' stands for the mountain above. This area is an old mining area (copper mining Arthurstollen ).
