Parcs nationaux in Quebec

This article gives an overview of the Parcs nationaux in the Canadian province of Québec . In contrast to the other Canadian provinces and territories, provincial parks are called Parc national here .

The parks are usually managed by the Société des établissements de plein air du Québec (Sépaq, English Society of outdoor recreation establishments of Quebec ), a Crown Corporation . The parks in the north of the province, in Nunavik , are managed by the Kativik Regional Administration. The legal basis for the parks is the Loi sur les parcs (P-9 of March 1, 2000). Responsibility lies with the Ministère du Développement durable, de l'Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques ( English Ministry of Sustainable Development, Environment, and Fight Against Climate Change ).
