Parliament building

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A parliament building is a structure in which a parliamentary assembly meets. As part of the legislature , the parliaments are usually also structurally separated from the government ( executive ) in order to allow the separation of powers to appear externally. Parliament buildings are also (at least during parliamentary sessions) usually surrounded by a " ban mile ", in which no meetings may be held. In the parliament building itself, the respective parliament president usually has sole executive power. Last but not least, this is intended to guarantee parliamentary immunity .
