Petar Petrow Schekow (born January 10, 1944 in Knischownik , Chaskovo Oblast ) is a former Bulgarian football player .

Career

Schekow played for CSKA Sofia from 1968 to 1975 , for which he scored 144 times during that time. In the 1968/69 season he was awarded the UEFA Golden Shoe as the best European goalscorer when he scored 36 goals this season for CSKA Sofia. Shekov was a Bulgarian national player between 1963 and 1972 and he played 44 games in which he scored 25 goals.
