Peter Beck (* 1966 in Haslach ) is a German actor .
Life
Peter Beck studied from 1989/90 to 1993/94 acting at the Academy of Music and Drama in Hannover .
From 1994 to 2000 he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Schauspiel Köln , where he played roles in the classical and modern theater repertoire and a. a. appeared in productions by Frank-Patrick Steckel , Thirza Bruncken , Uwe Hergenröder , Karin Beier and Günter Krämer . There belonged u. a. Fabian ( Pioneers in Ingolstadt ), Acaste ( The Misanthrope ) and the tailor Mottel in the musical Anatevka about his roles.
In the 2000/01 season he was a guest at the Berliner Ensemble . From the 2003/04 season until 2007 he played as a member of the ensemble and as a guest at the Deutsches Theater Berlin . He stepped there u. a. as Varus in Die Hermannsschlacht (2005, directed by Tom Kühnel ), as Missionar Rose in Die Physiker (2006, directed by András Fricsay ) and as Rodrigo in Othello (2007, directed by Jürgen Kruse ).
In the 2017/18 season he was a guest at the Rostock Volkstheater in Konstanze Lauterbach's production of Fellini's Ship of Dreams .
As a freelance actor, Peter Beck has also appeared in front of the camera for numerous film and TV productions. His directors included u. a. Jörn Hartmann , Tor Iben , Uwe Janson , Lancelot von Naso and Dominic Müller . He had roles in various TV series ( Behind Gittern - Der Frauenknast (as Pater Groth), Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei ), in crime series such as Kommissar Marthaler and Wilsberg and acted in several short films . In the 6th season of the ZDF series SOKO Wismar (2010) he took on an episode role as a suspected former co-owner of a yacht building company. In the TV series Babylon Berlin (2017) he had a brief appearance as Dr. Sieveking.
He also worked as an advertising actor a. a. works for Commerzbank , EDEKA and Weltsparen.de.
Peter Beck lives in Berlin .
