Peter KS Heilmann
Peter Karl Salomon Heilmann (born September 20, 1916 in Maniitsoq , † April 30, 2005 in Nuuk ) was a Greenlandic teacher and councilor .
Peter KS Heilmann was trained as a teacher in Denmark during the Second World War, fought alongside the German occupation and then taught himself at the Grønlands Seminarium . In 1959 he was first elected to the Greenland State Council and re-elected in 1963 and 1967. He was also a member of the Greenland Committee . In 1968 he received the Danish Royal Reward Medal with a crown, later the Dannebrogorden and on June 21, 1989 the Nersornaat in silver.
He was the son of Peter Frederik Kristoffer Heilmann (1891–1936) and Bodil Marta Dina Møller (1895–1982).
