Terézia Poliaková (born April 2, 1989 in Brezno , ČSSR ) is a former Slovak biathlete .

Career

Terézia Poliaková competed in her first international races as part of the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2006 in Ufa , where she was 19th in the sprint, 14th in the pursuit and fourth in the mixed relay race in the cross-country competitions, and eighth in the sprint competitions on roller skis and became ninth of the persecution. The next big event was the 2007 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Martell , where Poliaková was eighth in the individual, 24th in the sprint, 39th in the pursuit and eleventh in the relay race. In Otepää she started later in the year at the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2007 and finished 17th in the sprint, 16 in the mass start and five in mixed in the cross-country competitions, on roller skis she was ninth in the sprint and eighth in the pursuit. In 2008 the Slovakian finished 37th in the individual race in Ruhpolding , 30th in the sprint, 35th in the pursuit and 12th in the relay, and in Nové Město na Moravě in the junior races of the 2008 European Biathlon Championships 22nd. of the individual, 42nd of the sprint, 34th of the pursuit and sixth with the relay. A year later Poliaková reached the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2009 in Canmore the 44th place in the individual, was 49th of the sprint and eleventh with the relay. In the summer she reached tenth place in the sprint on roller skis at the World Championships in Oberhof , 22nd place in the pursuit and was seventh in the relay race. The last Junior World Championships were the 2010 title fights in Torsby . She finished 46th in the individual, 50th in the sprint, 43rd in the pursuit and was ninth in the relay. The last major event among the juniors was the 2010 European Biathlon Championships , in which Poliaková came 26th in the individual, 30th in the sprint, 25th in the pursuit and tenth in the mixed relay.

From the 2007/08 season , Poliaková also started in the IBU Cup . In her first sprint in Obertilliach she was 53rd. 2010 she won in Nové Město na Moravě as 32nd of a sprint for the first time points in the racing series. The first major event was the Summer Biathlon European Championships 2011 in Martell , where she was 17th in the sprint, 15th in the pursuit and fifth in the relay race with Vladimíra Točeková , Tomáš Rusňák and Peter Ridzoň .
