The Prydniprowska Salisnyzja (Ukrainian Придніпровська залізниця ; German about "Dnepr Railway") is a regional operator of railway traffic in the southeastern Ukraine with its headquarters in Dnipro . It belongs to the Ukrainian railway company Ukrzalisnyzja .

The railway company operates the route networks in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia oblasts, and until 2014 also the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and parts of 5 other surrounding oblasts (Kherson Oblast, Mykolaiv Oblast, Kirowohrad Oblast, Kharkiv Oblast and Donetsk Oblast).
The railway company operates a total route length of 3250 kilometers, of which around 58 percent are electrified, the rail traffic on 244 railway stations.
history
The company's history begins with the opening of the first line of the Katharinenbahn (Катерининська залізниця / Katerynynska salisnyzja) in 1873 from Synelnykowe to Katerynoslaw (now Dnipro) and Losowa to Oleksandriwsk (now Zaporizhia). Parts of the Russian Southern Railways are also part of today's route network. In the course of time, the railway network developed significantly, in 1936 the company was finally renamed the Stalin Railway (Сталінська залізниця / Stalinska salisnyzja), in 1961 the railway company with its current name was called. In 2014, in the course of the annexation of Crimea by Russia, the railway administrations were split up and rail traffic to Crimea was restricted.
