coat of arms

The design of the Röddensen coat of arms comes from the heraldist and graphic artist Alfred Brecht , who was born in Gadenstedt and later lived in Hanover , and who has already designed the coats of arms of Bantorf , Barrigsen , Egestorf and many other localities in the Hanover district. The approval of the coat of arms was given on November 9, 1970 by the district president in Lüneburg.

Röddensen coat of arms
Blazon : "Under a golden shield head , inside a blue key , in blue a golden ploughshare ."
Justification for the coat of arms: The coat of arms colors gold and blue are those of the dukes of Lüneburg and are intended to indicate that the former municipality of Röddensen belongs to their area. The blue key placed in the head of the shield is one of the two from the coat of arms of the Lords of Escherde and symbolizes the oldest tithe and court lords . In order to document that Röddensen is a characteristic farming village that has remained free of any industry up to the present day, a ploughshare has been added to the coat of arms.
