REGISonline
The regional information system REGISonline is the joint internet offer of the economic development institutions of 23 districts and independent cities from Lower Saxony and the city of Bremen .
Definition and goals
The providers see REGISonline as a service portal for business development and location marketing as well as a business partner exchange for companies in their regional area of responsibility. Your goals are the compact Internet presentation of the economic potential, the support of regional companies in the search for cooperation partners and new customers as well as the coordinated development of software-based services for their own tasks.
history
REGISonline is based on many years of cooperation between the districts and urban districts in northwest Germany and is one of the most continuous networks in municipal sponsorship. In 1988 the REGIS network came together to collect regional economic information and at that time to use it for internal use in economic development and regional planning. The network was initiated by the transfer office dialog , the knowledge and technology transfer office of the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, together with economic development institutions and chambers of commerce from the Weser-Ems region. Since 1997, regio gmbh from Oldenburg, a spin-off from the Transferstelle dialo g, has been responsible for maintaining the network and the technical development of the information system. In 1997 the joint website was launched. The portal has also been available in an English version since the beginning of 2007 and thus supports the international location marketing of the region. Following a comprehensive relaunch of the website in February 2014, REGISonline presents itself in a completely revised layout. Thanks to the responsive design of the new website, the website can also be used on mobile devices and a new development of the company search including a map-based search provides access to the business partner exchange with around 7,000 company profiles.
