Rapagnano (in the local dialect: Rapagnà ) is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 2003 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Fermo in Marche . The municipality is located about 11 kilometers west of Fermo . The south-eastern boundary of the municipality is the Tenna .
history
Today's place goes back to a Roman settlement with a Janus temple, which gave the place its name after the Italian Giano . Between 600 and 700 AD, the place was destroyed by an earthquake.
