history

The family does not appear in a document until the end of the 15th and especially at the beginning of the 16th century when Hans Reckow was enfeoffed by Duke Bogislaw X. with the entire village of Alt Gutzmerow in 1517 . He had previously bought it from Lorenz Gutzmerow . In 1523 he had to put a horse in for draft. In 1575 Alt Gutzmerow was a fief of the Wobeser family .

In 1575, Duke Johann Friedrich Asmus Reckow from Lübzow (Lübbetzow) enfeoffed half of Lübbetzow including a court and three hooves, some meadows, called the Herrenwiesen, the mill land, etc. He also gave his cousin Peter von Reckow from Stolp and his male heirs at the same time the entire hand of these goods, which was confirmed by Duke Barnim in 1601 .
