Reggie Redding (born July 18, 1988 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is an American basketball player . He is currently under contract with FC Bayern Munich in the basketball league and plays in the small forward position .

Life

Redding studied from 2006 to 2010 at Villanova University ( BA in Business Administration ) and during this time he made 123 appearances for their college basketball team, the Wildcats . With the team he reached the Sweet Sixteen round in 2008 and the Final Four of the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship in 2009 .

In 2010/11 the 1.96 m tall Redding left the USA and played in the top basketball league of Cyprus , for InterCollege ETHA in Engomi near Nicosia . On July 18, 2011, Redding's 23rd birthday, Bundesliga club WALTER Tigers Tübingen announced its commitment to start the 2011/12 season . After one season, he extended his contract with the WALTER Tigers for another year. Redding was elected to the All-BBL Second Team in the 2012/13 season. For the 2013/2014 season, Redding left the Tigers and moved within the league to Alba Berlin . At the club from the capital, he received a contract until 2015.

In his first season in Berlin, Redding became a top performer and so he managed to score well in double digits in both the Bundesliga and the Eurocup, helping Alba Berlin to reach the playoff finals in the Bundesliga and the quarter-finals in the Eurocup. His strong performances in the 2013/14 season are also reflected in his election to the All-BBL First Tea, the All-Eurocup Second Team and second place in the MVP election .

With Alba Berlin he played the following season in the top European division of the Euroleague , where he had a large share of the top 16 with an average of 12.4 points. After his contract expired, Redding moved from Berlin to Turkey and joined Darüşşafaka SK Istanbul for the 2015/2016 season . With Darüşşafaka Redding again reached the Top16 in the Euroleague and the playoff semifinals in the Türkiye Basketbol Ligi .

After only one year in Turkey, Redding switched back to the basketball Bundesliga for the basketball department of FC Bayern Munich for the 2016/17 season . There he signed an annual contract. From the 2018/19 season he played for Türk Telekom Ankara .
