Petr Fiala government
The Government Petr Fiala officiated in since December 17, 2021 Czech Republic . It replaces Andrej Babiš's second cabinet . On November 9, 2021, the President of the Republic, Miloš Zeman , gave the chairman of the ODS , Petr Fiala , a government mandate. He appointed him Prime Minister on November 28, 2021.

The government has a majority of 108 seats in the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament and is composed of a total of five previous opposition parties, which in the elections in October 2021 in the two electoral coalitions Spolu (ODS, KDU – ČSL , TOP 09 ) and PaS ( Piráti , STAN ).
On December 10, 2021, President Zeman announced that he would not appoint Jan Lipavský (Piráti) as foreign minister despite reservations about some of the ministerial candidates . Zeman accuses him of insufficient qualifications and his views on Israel , the Visegrád group and the Sudeten Germans , among other things . Prime Minister-designate Petr Fiala has previously announced that a judicial action will be brought before the Constitutional Court in the event that Zeman does not appoint his cabinet in full. On December 13th, Zeman decided to appoint the foreign minister as well.
On December 17, 2021, the government began its work and was sworn in.
