Reichenborn is a district of the municipality of Merenberg in the Limburg-Weilburg district in Central Hesse .
Geographical location
Reichenborn is three km northwest of Merenberg in Central Hesse . The county road 451 runs through the place.
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1325.
A Jewish cemetery has been located near the communal cemetery since 1900.
On December 31, 1970 , the municipality of Reichenborn merged voluntarily as part of the regional reform in Hesse with the previously independent municipalities of Allendorf , Barig-Selbenhausen , Merenberg and Rückershausen to form the new large municipality of Merenberg .

Club life is mainly shaped by the Freiwillige Feuerwehr Reichenborn eV founded in 1925 (since July 7, 1990 with the youth fire brigade), the mixed choir Concordia Reichenborn and the Sportfreunde Reichenborn.
Infrastructure
Since 1925, the Reichenborn volunteer fire brigade (from July 7, 1990 with youth fire brigade ) has provided fire protection and general help in this area. There is a village community center with a youth room in the bee garden, a sports field, a children's playground and hiking trails in the village .
