Reifling is a former municipality with 376 inhabitants (as of October 31, 2013) in the Murtal district in Styria . The community is located in the judicial district of Judenburg . Since 2015 it has been merged with the municipalities of Oberweg and the city of Judenburg as part of the Styrian municipal structural reform , the new municipality continues to use the name "Judenburg".

Geographical location
Reifling adjoins the city of Judenburg to the south and largely comprises mountainous areas. The highest point is the Reiflingberg (1,474 m). The area is drained by the Reifling, Auerling and Feebergbach.
In geology, the Reifling formation from the Ladin ( Triassic ) is named after the mountain of the same name .
The neighboring communities were, starting from the north and clockwise: Judenburg, Maria Buch-Feistritz , Eppenstein , Sankt Wolfgang-Kienberg and Oberweg .

The municipality consisted of the only cadastral municipality Reifling with the villages Auerling (121 inhabitants), Feeberg (195 Ew.) And Reifling (66 Ew.).
history
The political community of Reifling was established in 1849/50.
population
According to the 2001 census, the municipality had 401 inhabitants. 99.8% of the population had Austrian citizenship. 81.5% of the population committed to the Roman Catholic Church , 5.2% to the Evangelical Church , and 12.7% were without religious belief.

Economy and Infrastructure
According to the 2001 census of workplaces , there were five workplaces with 11 employees in the municipality, as well as 148 out-commuters and one in-commuter. There were 36 agricultural and forestry holdings (16 of them in the main occupation), which together farmed 1,091 ha (1999).
politics
The municipal council, which was dissolved on December 31, 2014, consisted of 9 members and, since the municipal council election in 2010, has consisted of mandataries from the following parties: 7 SPÖ and 2 ÖVP .
Until then, the mayor was Karl Feiel (SPÖ), who had held this office since January 8, 2009.
