Ricardo "Caíto" Risatti (born September 27, 1986 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine racing driver . Risatti won the Spanish Formula 3 Championship in 2006 .

Career

In 1998 Risatti began his motorsport career in kart racing and in 2001 switched to the B-Class of the South American Formula 3 championship , in which he was active for two years and in 2002 finished fourth. In 2003 the Argentine moved to Europe for the Spanish Formula 3 Championship and finished eleventh in the overall standings. In 2004 Risatti stayed in this series and improved to fifth overall. Risatti started for Racing Engineering in the 2005 season and finished third in the overall standings with four wins. 2006 Risatti denied his fourth season in the Spanish Formula 3 championship. Starting for the TEC team, the Argentine won five races and won the championship title.

In February 2007, BCN Competición announced that they had signed Risatti for the 2007 GP2 series . After Risatti had already taken part in tests of the GP2 series for the team, he lost his cockpit shortly before the start of the season because he could not raise the necessary sponsorship money. Risatti then got a cockpit at GD Racing in the World Series by Renault . Risatti contested a total of nine races in the World Series by Renault, but he did not manage to get points. After Trident Racing driver Pastor Maldonado broke his collarbone, Risatti made his debut in the GP2 series in 2007. The Argentine contested three race weekends and scored a point overall. During the sprint race in Spa-Francorchamps , Risatti came into the public eye: Even before the race started, Risatti collided with overall leader Timo Glock on the way to the starting grid and was subsequently punished with a fine of 10,000 euros. For the last race weekend Risatti was replaced by Sergio Hernández .

In 2008 Risatti drove in the Argentine TC2000, a touring car series in which he finished 14th overall, and in the Argentine Top Race V6 , in which he finished 33rd overall. He also took part in a race in the GT1 class of the FIA GT championship and was 20th overall. In the following two years Risatti competed in one race each in the Argentine TC2000. He also started in the Argentine Turismo Carretera . After finishing 34th overall in 2009, he finished the 2010 season in 28th overall. In addition, he took part in some races of the Argentine TN in 2010 and was 20th in third class with a win.
