Robert Dietl

Robert Dietl (born August 7, 1932 in Salzburg ; † October 5, 2010 ) was an Austrian actor and voice actor .

Life

Dietl received his artistic training at the Mozarteum in his hometown. In 1948 Gustaf Gründgens gave him his first engagement at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf . He then played in Berlin , Zurich , Hanover , Hamburg and Vienna . Occasionally he also worked as a director.

From 1954 he took on roles in film and then especially in television. He played his most important film role in 1989 as concentration camp guard Alois Hunzinger in Abrahams Gold . As a voice actor he was the German voice of General Burkhalter in the series A Cage Full of Heroes , Mr. Strickland in Back to the Future and Henri in Feivel, the mouse wanderer .
