Robert Green Hall (* 27. November 1973 in Detroit , Michigan , United States ) is an American make-up - designers , special effects designer , visual effects designer , film producer , film director and screenwriter , as well as guitarist in the band Zero 1 .

Life

Career

Robert Hall has become one of the most popular and prolific special effects designers in Hollywood for the past 16 years .

Originally born in Detroit , Hall began his career as a teenager in Alabama , buying make-up and other supplies at the local market for his friends' Halloween makeup. While his friends were playing sports, Hall was busy putting make-up on his face in the mirror with tips from horror magazines like Fangoria. In 1992, at the age of 18, he traveled more than 300 miles to Selma , Alabama, where he met Tom Burman and spoke to him about Hall's hiring to work as an assistant makeup designer for Abel Ferrara's Body Snatchers .

Hall thought to himself, "Wow, I'm paying to do this?" With that enthusiasm and love for the craft, he continued to take risks in pursuing his passion. With less than 100 dollars in his pocket, the 19-year-old Robert Hall packed his bags and moved to Hollywood.

In 1996 Halle decided it was time to step out on your own and start your own studio. With the name of the company, he drew the name Almost Human special effects makeup studio from the title of a love song .

In the early stages of the company, Hall worked on extremely small budgets on more than 30 film and television projects for the legendary Roger Corman . He directed the documentary Behind the Sting with Adam West for Corman and considered himself a graduate of the Roger Corman School of Film . Robert Hall and his Almost Human Inc created FX make-up for films like The Crazies , Paranormal Activity 2 and Quarantine . In 2005 Hall made his directorial and screenwriting feature film debut with Lightning Bug .

In 2009 Robert Hall directed the web series Fear Clinic .

Most recently Hall wrote the script and directed the film Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2 . The film was released by Image Entertainment on September 20, 2011.

Halle has made music videos for Kevn Kinney , Buckcherry and the rock group Manntis .

Private life

When he's not working, he writes lyrics. He also plays bass in the band Zero 1 with Hal Sparks and he directs music videos for rock bands like Buckcherry , Manntis , Kevn Kinney and In This Moment

Marriages

Robert Hall married actress Angelina Armani on July 10, 2011 . He was previously married to actress Bobbi Sue Luther .
