Robert Kipkorir Kipchumba

Robert Kipkorir Kipchumba (born February 24, 1984 in Kaptul near Kapsowar , Marakwet District ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .

Life

In 2000 he won the junior race of the Cross Country World Championships in Vilamoura , was junior world champion in the 10,000 meter run and won the Giro Media Blenio . In 2004 he won the Stramilano and from then on focused on road running .

In 2006 he was runner-up in the Rotterdam half marathon and in the road running world championships in Debrecen over 20 km. The following year he won the Lisbon half marathon . At the 2007 Road Running World Championships in Udine, he finished 15th and, as in the previous year, won gold in the team standings with the Kenyan team.

In 2009 he finished eighth in the Rotterdam Marathon , seventh in the Rotterdam Half Marathon and in 2010 fifth in the CPC Loop Den Haag .

In 2011 he set a course record at the Xiamen Marathon with 2:08:07 h.

Robert Kipkorir Kipchumba is 1.73 m tall, weighs 53 kg and belongs to the Kenyan army. He has been married since 2000 and has two children. He lives on a farm in the Trans-Nzoia District and trains in nearby Kapcherop .
