Rossano Sportiello (born June 1, 1974 in Vigevano ) is an Italian musician ( piano , composition ) of traditional and mainstream jazz .

Sportiello took classical piano lessons with Carlo Villa at the age of nine and then studied classical piano at the conservatory. At the age of 16 he performed as a professional musician in jazz clubs in the Milan area; In 1992 he became a member of the trad jazz band Milano Jazz Gang , with whom he toured in Italy and Western Europe and also recorded records such as Lord You Made The Night Too Long (2000). That same year he met Barry Harris , who became his mentor.
