Life

Rudi Büttner first learned the professions of a farmer and then a bank clerk (each with a degree) before starting his stage career. For four years he was entertainment director at Kurhaus Ruhpolding , where he organized performances by Zarah Leander , Lale Andersen , Werner Finck and Jürgen von Manger , among others .

But Büttner was not only on stage, he also worked as a lyricist in the hit and folk music scene. He wrote about 500 lyrics, which also earned him a gold record . In addition, he worked for two decades as a presenter for Bayerischer Rundfunk . For several years, Rudi Büttner worked as an emcee on large cruise ships, for example on the last three luxury liners called Europa , on the Maxim Gorkiy , the Delphin Renaissance and others.

For several years he maintained a standing column in the artist and artist magazine Das Organ under the title “Rudis Podium for Schlager-Allerlei”.
