The Monumenta Zollerana

Stillfried stayed in Berlin in 1833/1834 and was commissioned by Friedrich Wilhelm IV to research the history of the Hohenzollern family . The documents about the noble family were distributed in the German states. Stillfried was to acquire the original or a copy. The efforts led to the Monumenta Zollerana work , which contains the house's documents. Documents were also kept in the newly established royal house archive. The work was later revised with co-author Traugott Märker . The activity lasted for several years. In particular, information about the burgraves of Nuremberg could be found in the Bavarian archives . The prehistory of the Hohenzollern, as far as the documents were still available, was documented. In 1847, the "Hohenzollers Research" appeared.
