The Rush Township is one of 23 townships in Jo Daviess County in the northwest of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois .

The Rush Township is located in northwest Illinois and is traversed by the Apple River . The border with Iowa , which is formed by the Mississippi , is about 25 miles west. The Wisconsin border is about 10 to the north.
The Rush Township lies at 42 ° 24'40 "north latitude and 90 ° 02'20" west longitude and extends over 95.35 km². To the north of the township is Apple River Canyon State Park .
The Rush Township borders within Jo Daviess County in the north on the Warren Township , in the east on the Nora Township , in the southeast on the Wards Grove Township , in the south on the Stockton Township , in the southwest on the Woodbine Township , in the west on the Thompson Township and in the northwest to the Apple River Township .
