Sollnitz is a town in Dessau-Roßlau , an independent city in the state of Saxony-Anhalt . It is located approx. 12 km southeast of the city center of Dessau.
history
The Sollnitz area was probably settled before the 12th century and, as Burgwart Solnici, probably dates back to Slavic times. In the time of the rulers of Anhalt, two estates were built as princely outbuildings after 1708 .
A one-class school is still preserved as a historical monument. In 1936 the volunteer fire brigade was founded. 1952 Sollnitz was from the district Köthen removed and the newly formed district Gräfenhainichen the district hall incorporated. On July 1, 1994 it was incorporated into Dessau .
