SCORE (20th Anniversary World Tour) is the fifth live album of the US progressive metal - band Dream Theater . It is also the anniversary album for the band's 20th anniversary and the final concert of the Octavarium World Tour on April 1, 2006 from the Radio City Music Hall in New York . The title of the album is a play on words, "Score" also means score and is an old English counting measure for 20 .
The concert
The motto of the concert was "A Very Special Evening with Dream Theater". It is structured as follows: First, the instrumental end of the song “In the Name of God” from the penultimate studio album, Train of Thought , is recorded as a so-called “Outro-Intro Tape” . There follows a smooth transition to the first song by Octavarium : "The Root Of All Evil".
About one and a half of the almost three-hour concert will be played with the Octavarium Orchestra. Dream Theater played a song from almost every album:
- by When Dream and Day Unite : "Afterlife"
- by Images and Words : "Under a Glass Moon" (plus Metropolis Part 1 with orchestral accompaniment in the encore)
- by Awake : "Innocence Faded"
- by Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory : "The Spirit Carries On"
- by Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence : the title track with orchestral accompaniment
- by Train of Thought : "Vacant" (with orchestra)
- five songs from the album Octavarium . (including three with orchestral accompaniment)
In addition, two unreleased songs can be found on this live album. "Another Won" was created under the former name of the band Majesty and was one of the band's first songs. “Raise the Knife” comes from the Falling Into Infinity session, but didn't find its way onto the album.
