Sabina Florian (born May 28, 1983 in Bolzano ) is an Italian ice hockey player who scored the first goal of an Italian women's ice hockey team at the Olympic Games on February 14, 2006 at the Olympic Games . She has represented Italy at international tournaments since 1998 and has played for the German club EC Bergkamen since 2011 .

Career

Sabina Florian was born in Bozen, but grew up in Kaltern . Her parents own a restaurant on Lake Kaltern , where she regularly helped out. Sabina Florian comes from a family that is enthusiastic about ice hockey, she herself came to ice hockey through her brother. Until 1997 she played in the youth teams of SV Kaltern , before moving to the women's team of HC Eagles Bozen in 1997 .

Sabina Florian lived in Val Pusteria from 2007 , where she trained with the Mammuts ice hockey team in Toblach in winter . In the 2007/08 season Sabina Florian played at SC Riessersee in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . Sabina Florian has lived in Menden ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) since 2011 and plays in the women's ice hockey Bundesliga at EC Bergkamen .
