The Oderwald is a municipal association in the district of Wolfenbüttel , Lower Saxony ( Germany ).

Geographical location
The combined community of Oderwald is located with its districts east and west of the Oderwald , which is their namesake. The Oker flows from the south to the resin coming through the area of the joint community, the natural area the Börßum-Braunschweiger Okertal in Ostbraunschweigischen hill country is assigned.
Neighboring communities
The municipality of Oderwald is bordered by the independent town of Salzgitter in the west, the town of Wolfenbüttel in the north, the municipality of Elm-Asse in the northeast, the town of Osterwieck ( Harz district , Saxony-Anhalt ) in the southeast and the unified municipality of Schladen-Werla in the south .

Economy and Infrastructure
The German Alps – Baltic Sea Holiday Route and the German Half-timbered Road , both of which run through the municipality, are of great tourist interest .
traffic
The federal motorway 36 leads from Braunschweig to Bernburg (Saale) via the area of the integrated municipality . A junction was set up in the area of Klein Flöthe at the end of the 1990s, as the dismantling of federal highway 4 from Wolfenbüttel meant that traffic should be routed via the motorway. The south of the joint community crosses the federal road 82 Goslar - Königslutter am Elm , which has two junctions to the aforementioned motorway southwest of the joint community near Schladen .
The Braunschweig – Bad Harzburg line has a train station in Börßum.
education
The combined community has two primary schools, one in Cramme for the communities of Cramme and Flöthe, and one in Börßum for the other four communities of the combined community.
