The district of San Cristóbal is one of the 23 northern Peruvian districts that make up the province of Luya in the Amazon region in northern Peru . The district has an area of 33.36 km². The population was 546 in 2017. The district administration is located in San Cristóbal de Olto .
The most important festival of the capital, San Cristóbal de Olto, is celebrated on the day of St. Christopher (San Cristobál) on September 19th.
Geographical location
In the north, the district of San Cristóbal borders on the district of San Jerónimo (Luya) , in the east on the district of Valera , in the south on the districts of Lámud and the districts of Luya .
