action

Jim Renart and Dorothy Smith investigate a mysterious series of murders whose victims are made up for the Three Monkeys . Behind it is the unscrupulous Wall Street banker Tom Gerrick. When Jim investigates in the snuff milieu , he himself is targeted by the killer. In his last murder, Tom reports himself as a witness and makes nebulous statements that arouse the investigators' interest. However, he lets his lawyer protect himself.

Since the two investigators get stuck, Dorothy agrees to set a trap for Tom. She plays a romantic interest for him in order to lure him out of his reserve. On a date, however, he shoots Dorothy. When Jim tries to rush to her help, Tom is long gone and instead prepares a trap for Jim: Tom prepares Jim's apartment so that his pregnant wife is hanged when Jim opens the door.

But that doesn't end Tom's plan. He goes to a talk show and starts talking about murder and the futility of life. Then he runs amok and shoots his way to a café, where his supposed friends are celebrating their wedding. Meanwhile, Jim manages to save his wife. He then drives to the café himself and shoots Tom.
