Sandoná is located in the province of Pasto in Nariño at an altitude of 1848 meters and has an average annual temperature of 19.8 ° C. The municipality borders El Tambo and La Florida in the north, La Florida in the east, Consacá in the south and Linares and Ancuyá in the west .

population

The municipality of Sandoná has 25,759 inhabitants, of which 12,111 live in the urban part (cabecera municipal) of the municipality (as of 2019).

history

In the area of today's community originally lived indigenous people of Quillacinga . Sandoná was founded in 1867.
