Sarangkot ( Nepali सराङकोट ) is a village and a former Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Kaski district of the Gandaki administrative zone in central Nepal .

Sarangkot was incorporated into the neighboring city of Pokhara in 2014 . The place Sarangkot is located on a foothill of the Annapurna Himal north of Phewa Lake and west of the city of Pokhara . Sarangkot is a popular tourist destination as it offers excellent views of the mountains, Pokhara city, and the lake.

Residents

The VDC Sarangkot had 8354 inhabitants (3899 of them male) in 2080 households at the 2011 census.
