Sasha Bianca Lane (born September 29, 1995 in Houston , Texas ) is an American actress .

Life

Sasha Lane was born in Houston, Texas, to an African American and a New Zealander with Moral roots. After her parents divorced, she grew up with her mother in Dallas . She attended high school in Frisco, Texas and began studying at Texas State University .

During her spring break in Panama City Beach , Florida , she was discovered on the beach by the director Andrea Arnold , who she starred in the coming-of-age drama American Honey (2016) in the lead role alongside Shia LaBeouf and Riley Keough occupied. For her portrayal, she was in the context of the award of the British Independent Film Awards honored as best actress in 2016 and served as best young actress at the Gotham Awards and the Independent Spirit Awards as best actress nomination.

In 2018, she embodied the role of Rose in Hearts Loud by Brett Haley on the side of Nick Offerman and Kiersey Clemons . She was also in the film drama The Miseducation of Cameron Post by Desiree Akhavan seen as Jane Fonda. In 2019 she played the role of Alice Monaghan in the comic adaptation Hellboy - Call of Darkness and the role of Cassie in the mystery horror thriller Daniel Isn't Real by Adam Egypt Mortimer. In early 2019 it was announced that she would take on the role of Jessica Hyde in the Amazon series Utopia, based on the British series of the same name by Dennis Kelly .
